What does "Any Size, Installed" mean?

Refers to any size double hung window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this is a minimum width and height of 15" X 26" and a maximum of 48" x 72". "Installed" refers to the removal of a basic wood double hung window and replacing it with a vinyl Window World double hung window, using the existing wooden stops.

Who manufactures Window World's windows?

The windows are manufactured by Associated Materials Incorporated (AMI). AMI was founded in 1947 and is one of the largest replacement window manufacturer in the world.

Where are the windows manufactured?

Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

What types of payment methods and financing do you offer?

Window World accepts check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  Financing programs are also available. Click for details.

Will the windows be installed from the outside or inside?

The majority of our windows are installed from the inside. In certain situations, we may be required to install from the outside.

Do you install replacement windows year-round?  If so, will I lose a lot of heat/cooling during installation?

We installs windows year-round. A standard installation will take only one day. Our installers install one window and at a time and are trained to close any doors to the room they are working in to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from the new windows will recover any additional costs incurred within a few days.

How do I prepare my house for installation?

Please remove your curtains, blinds, and any other window treatments. Security devices should also be removed or deactivated by your security company. Please provide the installer with a clear path to the window by moving any personal items or furniture that is in front of the windows. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls that are close to the windows.

How long will it take for my windows to arrive? How much time should I allow for the installation?

Your windows will be installed within 4-6 weeks from the date of the final measurements are taken. The installation time varies based on the type of window being installed and the type being removed. Normally it takes about 30 minutes per window. Trims and other work will require additional time to complete. A standard installation job is typically completed in a single day.

What type of warranty is available for my windows?

All of our Window World replacement windows come with a lifetime warranty. Additionally, all-inclusive transferrable lifetime, lifetime glass breakage, lifetime seal failure, and installation warranties are available. View lifetime warranty.

What happens to my old windows?

After installing your new replacement windows, we remove every bit of debris from your property and dispose of it properly.

What do I do if I have a problem with the windows?

We highly recommend that you go to our Warranty and Service page. Most of the problems are easily corrected and do not indicate that there is a problem with your window. If you still have questions, please contact us.
